Atlas V [a] is an expendable launch system and the fifth major version in the Atlas launch vehicle family. It was designed by Lockheed Martin and has been operated by United Launch Alliance (ULA) [b] since 2006. It is used for DoD, NASA, and commercial payloads. It is America's longest-serving active rocket.

2022年10月19日 · United Launch Alliance (ULA) successfully launched the SES-20 & SES-21, twin C-band satellites, to near-circular, near-geosynchronous orbits at an inclination of 1.9° on their Atlas 531. Once separated, the satellites used their onboard propulsion systems to circularize the orbits at 22,300 miles above the equator.

The Atlas V 531 consists of a single Atlas V booster stage, the Centaur upper stage, three solid rocket boosters (SRBs), and a 5-meter payload fairing (PLF). The Atlas V booster is 12.5 ft in diameter and 106.5 ft in length.
