2007年6月14日 · I logged my LPFP and HPFP this morning. Assuming the deviation on the low pressure side isn’t normal / ideal and potentially the cause of my N290? The HP side seems to be following fine. Removing the N290 fuel metering valve to inspect for metallic particles should only be considered as a last step after all GFF diagnostic procedures have been performed, including testing supply volume to the high pressure fuel pump (low pressure side) and checking for internal leakage from the injectors and N276 pressure regulating valve.

2018年10月7日 · I had this literally three weeks ago on my Q7 and it was the N290 – 2007 BUG, cranking, zero pressure in CR, no faults in ECM. I first recorded the starting sequence into a log. The high pressure CR lines showed no pressure (0 bar).

2010 TDI not starting after n290 (fuel metering valve) replacement
2017年11月1日 · The fuel pressure was varying wildly at idle. I replaced the fuel pressure sensor, but no fix. then last night i replaced the N290 valve (no sign of metal on the gauze). After fitting the new valve, the car started and idled for around 5 seconds then stopped and wouldn't restart. I fitted the old valve, but still wouldn't start.

Fuel metering valve N290 function – initialised To increase the quantity inlet to the high-pressure pump, the fuel metering valve N290 is initialised by the diesel direct injection system control unit J248 using a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal. Due to the PWM signal, the fuel metering valve is pulsed closed.
