LANCASTER, Calif. (3/16/2022) – BYD (Build Your Dreams) congratulates the Antelope Valley Transit Authority on achieving North America’s first fully zero-emission fleet and is proud to be a partner in the agency’s success. Fully 57 of AVTA’s 87 battery electric coaches and buses were built by BYD at its Lancaster Coach & Bus Manufacturing facility.

2022年3月18日 · California’s AVTA becomes North America’s first all-electric transit agency. The milestone has been achieved with the delivery of its 20th MCI electric coach, that joins 57 BYD e-buses and 10 GreenPower EV Star Microtransit vans.

AVTA operates 65 vehicles in their local fixed route fleet, all of which are zero-emission, and 24 battery-electric commuter coaches. The majority of AVTA’s electric fleet consists of BYD electric buses, manufactured in the Antelope Valley.
