2019年7月23日 · Axe-Fx IV release estimate? I know this is a loaded question that we just may not know but has there been any pattern to how often Fractal is releasing new units? I want to invest into a Fractal but do not want to buy something which will be replaced in a year.

For me I'm always unlucky in the sense that when I get something one day, a newer better version is round the corner and I'm always left disappointed that I didn't wait a bit longer. Do you guys think the fourth Axe FX is around the corner before I drop hard earned cash over the third one ?

2021年10月8日 · You can quickly see where that either means the Axe-Fx IV is insanely expensive or they need to instead use more of the current models and figure out how to manage latency between processors - an issue that Line6 and NeuralDSP already tackle with their product designs with the separate DSP paths system.

2023年7月9日 · I know the Axe FX 3 has been out for years now but I keep finding myself hesitating on ordering a new unit out of fear they’ll launch the Axe FX 4 late this year or next. Looking at the release dates and life cycles of previous versions we’re due for a new one.

2023年6月22日 · I think there will be an Axe FX IV someday, and it will likely have more Dyna-cab related features, like more Dyna-cabs, and maybe more microphone choices, etc. I doubt it will happen any time soon though. Last time I checked there was still a waitlist for FM9's.

2024年10月16日 · The VP-4 uses the Axe-Fx III DSP's little brother. It's a single core version with the same instruction set so porting stuff from the Axe-Fx III is almost trivial. The VP4 uses a SoC. It has an ARM Cortex A15 core and a C66x core along with a bunch of peripherals. The DSP in the Axe-Fx III would be too power-hungry for this application.
