A500K, B500K, which one for volume and tone? - Harmony Central
2010年10月17日 · I think that I have a pretty good grasp on linear vs log and how the ear perceives differences in volume. It makes the A500K a lot better choice for what I want my volume pot to do. But with tone control I am not so sure that I wouldn't want a nice linear sweep throughout the range. Of course "theoretically" and real world aren't always on the ...
Pedal builders... linear or audio taper, for pots?
2009年2月18日 · In a regular BM Pi, both the sustain and volume controls are 100KA (log), while the tone is 100KB (lin). A linear pot as the volume control would get very loud very quickly, with not much more juice left after 10 o'clock. A log pot is better matched to the way our hearing works, and will therefore sound much more linear (more even across the ...
Just finished building a Jordan Bosstone fuzz clone and it ROCKS!!!
2007年12月23日 · I added true bypass switching with LED, a 9vDC power tap, and a simple circuit that uses a B100K pot in-line between the voltage supply and the fuzz circuit to simulate a dying battery (sourced from Beavis Audio). EHX Big Muff not working! please help - Harmony Central
2016年7月1日 · Hi! I've had an EHX big muff for about 3 years now and it's probably my favourite pedal - so it's used constantly and is pretty beaten up. Recently I've had issues with the foot switch acting up (loose connection). I decided to open up the pedal and poke around. This seemed to deal with the foot ...
500K pots on a single coil? - Electric Guitars - Harmony Central
2009年4月28日 · The original pickup/pot combo was excessively bright to my ears. Rolling off the tone just turned everything to mud. Unfortunately I didn't bother to use the old pickups with the 250K pots. Would have been interesting to see if I heard a difference. I definitely hear a difference with the new pickup/pot combo. Very happy with the results.

2011年9月23日 · The top curve indicates virtually no load, the second curve down indicates a 1meg pot, the third down is a 500k pot, the fourth is a 250k pot and the bottom curve represents a 100k pot. As you can see, higher pots give you more output and raise the resonant peaks output. The resonant peak doesn't shift in frequency, but it does shift in amplitude.
