2017年1月24日 · Hi, my E36 325i 1992 sedan is giving me trouble with the brake lights. For a long time, the passenger side brake light worked intermittently triggering the brake light failure. Since about a year ago, the failure became permanently triggering the brake light circuit failure. I replaced the brake light switch but the problem still persisted.

Shift solenoids are turned on and off by the vehicle’s computer, when it sends an electrical signal through a coil of wire that is wrapped around a plunger mechanism inside the solenoid. If the ECU detects unusually high-voltage coming through the shift solenoid F control circuit, it will save a P0999 DTC. Need a replacement transmission?

2003年11月7日 · 0999 is the option code for "Initial Supply" or "Launch Supply". This just means the car is a demo, or one of the first ones the dealer got. Look at the first X5s, Z4s, 530i's, and they all have option 0999. Nothing on the car is different.

To address the P0999 code, the following repairs are recommended: Perform an electrical check using a digital ohm meter and the vehicle's wiring diagram, looking at the circuits between the TCM and the transmission itself. Check the wiring harness beginning at the ECM and TCM and following them to the transmission.

2011年5月13日 · It's a dual-circuit switch where one closed circuit (of the two) is enough to turn the brake light on. However, if only one of the circuits close, you get the aforementioned warning message. I don't think it's necessary to replace the brake light switch unless you get the message "Brake Light Circuit Failure". This.
