I havent driven a BMW G30 5-series to compare, but I owned an E90 3-series and that car was probably a shade sharper than the Mercedes with its rear end moving out in cornering to reduce understeer, but the W213 has better steering and just as good body control.

However BMW have masked this by making the rear thick but noticeably given the car a shorter boot lid with an aggressive sloping.
