BMW has addressed the issue and will cover the HPFP for 10 years/120,000-miles under warranty (above and beyond the standard 4 year/50,000-mile limited New Vehicle warranty). 2021年8月3日 · BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2014-2018 328d, 328d xDrive, X5 xDrive35d, 2014-2016 535d, 535d xDrive, 2015 740Ld xDrive, and 2015-2017 X3 xDrive28d vehicles. The high-pressure fuel pump may fail. Remedy Dealers will replace the high-pressure fuel pump, free of charge.

2019年3月19日 · At only 212k miles, the HPFP in my 2012 X5 35d is way past warranty and any goodwill extension of warranty. If I were to look at the waveform with a scope, I should see a pulse from effect of each piston in the HPFP. I would expect to see 3 pulses per rev of the HPFP. If all is good, I should see a steady train of pulses looking alike.

2010年9月23日 · Think of your HPFP (also referred to as the HDP by BMW) as a mechanical pump very similar in design to what you find in a gas powered pressure washer. It takes fuel coming from the gas tank's wimpy low pressure pump and boosts the fuel pressure to around 3000 PSI before delivering it to the fuel injectors.
