BN 6806 Slide says E/B at OBAN. I have been unable to locate this place but it certainly is not the Scottish one! BN 6806 was new as BN 6346, Became BNSF 6849 then was renumbered to BNSF 1696.

What ever became of these engines? These were the engine the SP used on their remote trains in 1973, I think, before all of the 8300s showed up. Are the BNSF units still in service? They were when the 2006 book was published. Any changes since then will have to be covered by someone else. Thank you, Scott. What ever became of these engines?
