Despite a setback during the final inspection, the team of 16 mechanical engineering students showcased their resilience and dedication. The UTEP SAE team was not able to proceed but they, represented the College of Engineering, prepared Mad Pete Motorsports, their all-terrain vehicle, with guidance from faculty advisors and industry mentors.

The UTEP SAE team, known for their solid commitment to automotive engineering, had dedicated significant time and effort to prepare Mad Pete Motorsports, their all-terrain vehicle for the rigorous Baja SAE Oregon competition.

The 2024 Baja SAE competition in Gorman, California, from April 25-28 was an exciting event! Featuring challenges like hill climb, maneuverability, suspension, endurance, and acceleration, participants showcased their hard work with top-notch Baja vehicles.
