Buddha did cut off his hair to renounce the prince statue, yet the bald head of a monk was a later version, which was not the monk at that time and Buddha's appearance, I believe.

2021年7月13日 · I think most depictions of the Buddha though are fairly close to how he would've looked, although he was definitely bald more often than shown. He seems to have had curly hair, when it grew longer, so the curls of his hair are likely meant to represent the curls when his hair was grown out to two fingers' width length.
