Derry. it was probably made by a Celtic metal worker in the first century AD and it was this, the Bann Disc which gave me my inspiration.

The Bann disc, found during dredging operations in the River Bann near Coleraine in 1939, was first described in print in 19401 and was more fully published in 1957.2 It is now in the Belfast Municipal Museum and Art Gallery.
