Bat-Mite is a 5th Dimensional being comparable to a god who is Batman's self-proclaimed, "Biggest Fan". Bat-Mite uses his vast powers to bend reality around Batman for his own fanboy amusement and help him fight crime. Later comics would retcon Bat-Mite into being a hallucinated figure albeit of potentially paranormal origins.
