Benny Chan Muk-sing (simplified Chinese: 陈木胜; traditional Chinese: 陳木勝; pinyin: Chén Mùshèng; 24 October 1961 [1] – 23 August 2020 [2]) was a Hong Kong screenwriter, producer and filmmaker, [3] very well-known by his action movies full of brutal violence, absurd humor and outstanding choreographies.

Benny Chan. Director: Raging Fire. Benny Chan Muk-Sing had worked for RTV and then for TVB as assistant director to Johnnie To Kay-Fung. He was later promoted to director. He served as the executive director for Raymond Wong Pak-Ming's "Goodbye Darling" in 1987 and then returned to ATV as producer and director.

Benny Chan Ho-man (born 7 October 1969) is a Hong Kong actor and singer. Chan attended Raimondi College. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in social science from Lingnan University. Chan's career in the entertainment industry began in 1994 when he appeared in a television commercial for Vitasoy.

Chan was often the screenwriter and producer for his directorial works, and was a co-producer for Final Romance (2001) and Little Big Master (2015). He was nominated six times for Best Director at the Hong Kong Film Awards and finally won the award in 2022 for Raging Fire (2021), his last film. In August 2020, Chan died of illness in Hong Kong.

Benny Chan defined his unique blend of dramatic action filmmaking with the Andy Lau vehicle A Moment of Romance (1990), and further defined it with the thrillers Man Wanted (1995) and Big Bullet (1996).
