2010年3月22日 · Ran into customer who dissed my "ugly" wall unit (evap coil/blower unit) on a certain well-known high SEER mini-split from Japan. It seemed nothing I could find passed muster. Prefers no ductwork and definitely doesn't want window unit. (Old plaster? walls in an old, but nice house converted to office - about 20 x 30 room ).

2023年1月2日 · Not a fan of most mini's. Have one in a surveillance room and the Evap fan quit after about two years. Took 8 weeks to get a new one. Wholesaler said they could sell me a complete new head and have it to me in a week... Because it was winter I opted for the motor... What a PITA to change out. This was a mini "made" by Johnson Controls.

2018年6月15日 · Mini split is an expensive proposition and there just isn't the kind of reliable information I would like before I make a purchase like this. At least there doesn't seem to be any unbiased info, there is info on hvac contractor's websites but it's hard for me to trust most of this as being impartial.

2018年9月13日 · I'm in Atlanta, GA so winters are fairly mild, but summers are brutal. I'd like to be able to cool the greenhouse during the hottest 3-4 months and heat it during the coldest 3-4 months for year-round growing. I'm thinking a mini-split would be ideal, possibly 12,000 BTU in size. Has anyone ever heard of heating and cooling a greenhouse like this?

2015年4月25日 · On my mini split installs, I use duct seal (the clay like stuff) around the lineset, condensate line and cable, this is always inside the line hide and out of site. It stays pliable and can be removed easily if need be, it is easy to force around the tubes and wires. Gives a excellent seal. Never a problem with it.

2018年5月8日 · Once temp is achieved a modulating mini split will just trickle out the heat at a steady rate. Once the entire structure has reached temp and system is only dealing with the heat infiltrating in real time, well placed heads should be able to wick the heat out of adjoining rooms with only a few degrees difference between said rooms.
