Minsc is a neutral good human ranger and a potential companion. Minsc and Dynaheir were originally sent to the Sword Coast as part of his 'dajemma' - a journey of self-discovery, during which he must protect Dynaheir and gain new insights and experiences in distant lands as a sort of 'rite of passage'.

Minsc of Rashemen is a recruitable Companion, returning from both Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn. He is a Human and a Hunter Ranger with the Folk Hero background, and cannot be romanced by any character.

Minsc is trained in Two-handed Swords, but as a Ranger he also has two proficiency points in Two-weapon Style. So you can choose to equip him with either a Two-handed Sword or with two one-handed weapons. You are really spoiled for choice here. What you should choose depends on your personal preferences and the party you eventually put together.

2013年12月16日 · Minsc is an unkitted ranger. It's one of the worst things you can be in BG2. They get nothing of any real value. His special berserker ability is completely worthless as well, and his proficiencies are sub-par. Even his chosen enemy (gnoll) is pointless in BG2, and frankly also in BG1 past the first few levels.

2018年10月11日 · Playing BG2:EE multiplayer, kicked Minsc out of party to get Valygar for the Planar Sphere quest, sent him to the Copper Coronet. Now that's finished, can't find him either in Copper Coronet (checked entire place, but especially back wall near Anomen) or the cabin we picked up Valygar.

Minsc is a powerhouse fighter from the word go. With a Strength of 18/93 he can dish out damage quickly to the monsters, meaning that those giant strength girdles can be given to other characters who need them more. He can also make an effective scout, so long as he stays in leather armor.
