This is a nice post, thanks for putting it together. I have been preparing for CSCS exam for a while and I have some questions about your programming. do you feel BJJ athletes need to train much differently than wrestlers? often you will see partial Olympic lifting programmed in athletes power/speed block but you did more plyos, any reason for the preference? Big guys, how is your game? I'm 6'3", and around 240lbs. I'm also relatively new to BJJ, and I'm wondering how my fellow big guys developed their game. Bigger guys tend to get flak for using strength etc...not technique. What I want to understand is how I can methodically work my game to utilize my size in the best manner. I need a bit of advice, been doing BJJ for about 12 weeks and have this one guy who just uses his strength to hold on in a guard pull. He’s huge so I can’t really get anywhere with it. What’s the idea here?
