Nicholas Kipyator Kiprono arap Biwott (22 February 1940 – 11 July 2017) was a Kenyan businessman, politician, and philanthropist, who worked in the governments of the fathers of Kenyan independence, Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel arap Moi.

Biwott was an athlete of the Year for cross country lead the Oregon Ducks to an impressive group of five Men of Oregon All-Americans returning for the defending NCAA Division 1 national team champion in 2008.

2017年7月18日 · The mystery that characterised the life of former powerful Nyayo-era Cabinet minister Nicholas Biwott was unravelled on Tuesday after his family was revealed to Kenyans at his funeral service in Nairobi. His family of seven children—six daughters and a son—and 11 grandchildren was laid bare but it had to take his death.

Widely regarded as the most competent and effective minister of the arap Moi government, he helped shape the largest economy in Eastern Africa and was at the forefront of efforts to deepen regional cooperation.

Nicholas Biwott dedicated his life to Kenya and her people. For over 50 years, as a public servant, philanthropist, and entrepreneur, he strove to build a strong, fair and bright future for his country.
