2016年12月8日 · Got another buck of the ebay, this time it is a vintage Buck 118 new in box with paperwork and packing tissue. It has a flap over sheath and a total of 4 spacers and the spacer under the guard is extended. It also has the pre 1986 blade stamp. So I know it is probably 440 steel and made mid 70s, but the box and paperwork is newer, right?

My favorite deer hunting knife has been the Buck 118 for several years and as such I've been accumulating them in different steels, both standard issue and SFO. At this point I have one each in 440C, 425MOD, 5160, and now D-2.

2022年7月11日 · TAH Buck has discontinued and then re-introduced the 118, 120, and 121 a couple of times before. Guess it will likely happen again. With six copies of the Buck 118 in my collection (two or three still NOS) and with me heading toward my late 60’s and only shooting two or three deer per season, I think I will be good-to-go right up til my end! 2005年6月30日 · 118 & 105 have the same size handle. I have been skinning and cutting up deer with a different Buck each time to compare. The most useful for me is the 118 - full size handle, but a moderate size blade - good combination.
