2006年12月16日 · The USAF adopted the medium gray color for all of it's tankers and transports in the late 1980s. It does make the aircraft harder to see, visually, at altitude under most light conditions.

2009年10月11日 · I’m not going to argue with those that have more experience than I, but I had the same question when I built my C-17. While the FS says one shade, the model paint, at least to my eye, does not match pics of the real aircraft. The real aircraft looks much darker than the model paint match.
