The CCSBT Catch Documentation Scheme (CDS) came into effect on 1 January 2010 and replaced the Statistical Document Programme (Trade Information Scheme) which operated from 1 June 2000. The CDS provides for tracking and validation of legitimate SBT product flow from catch to the point of first sale on domestic or export markets.

1.1 All Members and Cooperating Non-Members shall implement the CCSBT CDS for southern bluefin tuna (SBT) to document the movement of all SBT as outlined in this resolution. The CCSBT CDS incorporates CCSBT CDS documentation and tagging of SBT.

The Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT) is the regional fisheries management organisation responsible for the sustainable utilisation of southern bluefin tuna (STN). CCSBT adopted a Catch Documentation Scheme (CDS) in October 2009. The purpose of the CDS is to gain better information on global catches of STN.

This Resolution of the Extended Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT), requires all Members and Cooperating Non-Members shall implement the CCSBT f Catch Documentation Scheme (CDS) for southern bluefin tuna (SBT) to document the movement of all SBT as outlined in this resolution.

CC12’s workplan indicates that Australia and Japan will work on certain CDS issues and that the Secretariat will work with Korea on its issues concerning validation of landed weights. Paper CCSBT-CC/1810/BGD01 provides details of the status of the draft revised CDS Resolution as at October 2017 (CC12). The status has not changed since CC12. 3.

2023年6月20日 · WCPFC may wish to have formal collaboration with CCSBT, including possible the utilization of some resources from the CCSBT eCDS . For such possibility, system WCPFC will need to make a formal request to the CCSBT on this issue, and a formal decision for acceptance at CCSBT Commission level (i.e. consensus by CCSBT Members) will be necessary.
