2023年7月12日 · My CEA was < 2.0 in March 2023 prior to my colon surgery in April. I had a cancerous polyp discovered during my colonoscopy in February. My understanding is that the CEA blood test gave the surgeon an idea if the cancerous antigens had entered my blood stream through the blood vessels in the wall of the colon and had traveled to other organs.

Everyone is born with high levels of this protein. CEA decreases as you get older, but some conditions, including certain types of cancer, can increase your blood CEA levels.

2017年5月31日 · Up until this surgery was done my CEA levels were in the 3-4 range. This past April I was in to my oncologist for my check-up and my level has increased to 6.1. We redid the test again in 6 weeks which was yesterday and they have increased by 0.3 to 6.4.

2021年7月18日 · I recently had a blood test for a life insurance company to see if I would qualify for coverage. I also had routine colonoscopies when I turned 50(completely clear) and 60( removed benign polups. I am 62. My CEA number from the recent blood test showed my CEA to be 4.9(which the company puts an average range of 0.2.5 or up to 3.0.

2017年5月31日 · My CEA level is at 297.0. It began in April after my surgery to remove colon cancer. I have Stage 4 with mets to the live. At that point the CEA was 69.7. It went from that in April, 2022 to 118.5 in November, 2022. Then it jumped to 175.3 in December 6th and December 27 it took a small dive down to 167.4. This week it has jumped to 297.0.

2017年5月31日 · CEA levels were between 5-9 but the doctors considered that normal for her case. Long story short - her life was practically back to normal. Until her last regular check up this month (Feb 2019) where doctors found a slightly elevated CEA level (12) and a lesion on her spleen and liver. They're doing a biopsy on these lesions to see if cancerous.

2022年4月26日 · Second CEA 1.2 06/01/22 Was done by Labcorp. Third CEA 1.0 09/01/2022 was done by Emory and the recent one was done at Labcorp 12/19 CEA ‘1.9’. Does this level vary by labs? I am currently having an external Hemorrhoid pain and irritation and little bit of bleeding. Does anyone know if Hemorrhoid can be one of the reason for CEA to increase?
