The most common CITB health, safety & environment test taken is the Operatives test. The CITB test is also known by some as the CITB touch screen test. This test covers the most common trades including: General Labourers, Site Operatives, Bricklayers, Joiners, Carpenters, Painters & Decorators, Plasterers, Ground-workers and many more.

The HS&E test for Operatives is a standalone test and is needed for a CSCS card application, but it does not complete the Health and Safety Awareness eCourse. To apply for a CSCS Green Labourer card, you need to pass both the HS&E Test for Operatives and the exam that follows the Health and Safety Awareness eCourse.
