2 天之前 · CNJ 592 was towed to the Museum in 1954. A News Photo in TRAINS at the time showed a CNJ RS-3 handling 592 and a narrow-vestibule wood coach westbound on the RDG at Bound Brook. As I recall, the tubes/flues are cut out of the engine. The tube sheets are intact; they were rumored to be cut out of the boiler. I have B&W pics somewhere.

2025年3月2日 · The Phillipsburg, NJ group has an AAR type CNJ boxcar. You'll aslo find freight cars of CNJ heritage in Farmingdale, NJa nd Jim Thorpe, PA. Museums or historic groups account for 3 GP-7's, 1 RS-3, the #1000, a 4-4-2 and an 0-6-0. Right now, the most endangered CNJ rolling stock is the observation Biela in Clinton, NJ. 2025年3月18日 · CNJ 1709, an Alco RS3, took the 592, the "Royal Blue Line" coach, and CNJ diesel 1000 to Bound Brook. It was preceded by a 2-car RDC train to get the fans and others out to Bound Brook. The 592 was then turned over to the Reading for a less-ceremonious trip to Phila. where B&O took it on to Baltimore, also without ceremony.

There are actually three wooden passenger cars of 1870s vintage and presumed CNJ pedigree in the B&O collection--two day coaches and the baggage car. The baggage car and one coach were in the roundhouse, judging from the post-collapse photographs and common recent museum practice.

5 天之前 · eagerly anticipated restoration of CNJ 0-6-0 #113, one of only two surviving CNJ steam engines. The other is CNJ #592 at the B&O RR Museum. Below is a list kindly provided by Bernie Perch detailing only some of the work performed to date: Front tube sheet replaced. 1/3 of firebox side sheets replaced. All of firebox door sheet replaced.
