2022年6月24日 · C&NW 1624 was wrecked in a derailment on August 24, 1959 at New Ulm, Minnesota (along with C&NW 1613) while assigned as motive power for train 480; both units repaired and re-powered by ALCO in March 1960, using a 12 cylinder, 1,800 horsepower ALCO 251 engine and a new RS-11 style long hood.

2025年3月21日 · They did roster ten former-NYC RS-32s, with a hood similar to the RS-36. The biggest difference between the RS-11 and RS-36 hood is the height of the doors giving access to the power assemblies. I just took a look at the photo of CNW 1624 in DSG, and at several different RS-36 photos in Steinbrenner's book.
