2014年10月31日 · President Lyndon B. Johnson signs a law setting up public broadcasting in the U.S. and establishing the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. CPB registers as a nonprofit corporation in the District of Columbia. CPB and the Ford Foundation each grant $250,000 to connect 150 public TV stations through a landline link.
