CSX 4384 (SD40-3) is ex-Conrail and was rebuilt at Boise ID. A yellow stripe and a circular Clinchfield logo was added to both sides of the short nose for the November 19th, 2016, the 74th annual Santa Train.

For the 74th annual CSX Santa Train that operated between Shelbiana, KY and Kingsport, TN, SD40-3 #4384 was selected as the lead locomotive for the 2016 charity run. While in Shelby Yard prior to the departure, a sticker bearing the Clinchfield Railroad logo was applied to the nose to complement two other logos applied to each side of the cab.

Sid Vaught (he’s a roster nut) revealed that 4384 is ex-Conrail and rebuilt at Boise ID. It had an added yellow stripe on the nose and “Clinchfield”.
