2018年6月29日 · Newer CTB files[ie AIA LWT by Object.ctb] let objects/layers control their own lineweight. Once you decide which way to go, you probably want to continue. When I started CTB files were the only way to go so I learned how to use them and have a vast content library dependent on color to lineweight mappings.

2016年2月19日 · 1) Technically CTB files only specify plot settings mapped to index colors, not to "layers". The plot settings include color, linetype, and lineweight among others. Built-in CTB lineweight #'s that are not set to "by object" override any object or layer lineweight setting, as I understand. The color of the object or layer determines its lineweight.

2015年1月13日 · If you convert an STB drawing with hundreds of layers & objects assigned to Plot Styles to a CTB which doesn't allow Plot Styles they will be lost. Even trying to convert a drawing from one STB to another STB with different Plot Style names can be challenging as AutoCAD's has 9 shades of grey while the one we use only has 3.

2015年11月16日 · to creat a new CTB file you have to follow a number of simple procedure.start from PLOT command line then from plot style table select NEW as attaached image. PLOT >> plot style table >> NEW >> start from scratch >> file name >> plot style editor.

2010年10月17日 · The same is true for STB-based DWG files. That's - in STB-based file you can not see .CTB plot style files in page setup dialog (and vice versa). So in AutoCAD for MAC, when you create new drawing (File -> New) and want it to be CTB-based, you have to select as a template any of .DWT files, that doesn't contains words "Named Plot Styles" in it ...

2018年5月8日 · When I enter a ctb (one of my own or a default AutoCad ctb) - it won't preview and won't plot according to it. I don't understand why. I have a student version and I am using a windows version of Autocad 2019, on a Mac parallel desktop (although I don't think any of it is the issue). I am attaching the file.

2020年1月17日 · A DWG file is preset to use STB or CTB, never both: you started your file with the wrong template file most likely. Look up CONVERTPSTYLES command in HELP about changing a DWG file, or open your CTB based template file and INSERT this problem one into it, EXPLODE, then SAVEAS.
