Morakniv Camp Axe review - Bushcraft USA Forums
2023年1月22日 · I’ve been asked a few questions about the Morakniv Camp axe so I figured I might as well do a mini review. This is not a brand new axe! But, I have only sharpened it a few times with a standard aluminum oxide stone. It has been unmodified other than a 90 degree spine on the poll. It was a wintery mix all day so I figured I should go play in it.

2024年2月24日 · His arguements about the steel are pretty garbage. A gun barrel wouldnt be hardened like an axe and resistance to fracturing in a hardened steel for an axe can perform wildly different than a gun barrel. BUT, they are not the first to use 4140 in an axe and it does make a fine steel for one... just his argument for it doesn't mesh.
Tuatahi Camp Axe - Bushcraft USA Forums
2012年1月6日 · The Tuatahi work axe is roughly 7 pound with a 30 inch handle attached. That for me is alot of axe, more than I need for most of my axe work. I heat my home with a large wood burner, I hunt and camp alot and I enjoy swinging an axe. I dont use an axe much in the backciuntry If Im on foot but I use one almost daily around my house.
Husqvarna Camping Axe Review - Bushcraft USA Forums
2020年10月21日 · I have a Marble's camp "axe" (more of a hatchet) that has a pretty deep logo imprint - the MA701SB model. I'm not going to worry about it on a $20 hatchet, but they could have moved it 1/2" - 3/4" higher. I don't know where the hardening/quench line is located.
Marbles Camp Axe table top review (with pictures)
2015年2月25日 · Here is the box the camp axe came in (not including the shipping box). It’s a good looking box for collectors to store their axe in. This is how it looks when you open the box. The direction of the grain is phenomenal. It all runs straight up and down. The other side of the hatchet. A close up of the head.

Buck Compadre Camp Axe?? (+/- vs. ESEE Gibson??) - Bushcraft …
2019年12月9日 · Had my eyes on the ESEE Gibson Axe and then I happened to read more on the Buck Compadre - more to that axe than I thought and seems generally comparable to the ESEE aside from overall design, slight size/thickness difference, and not having a lanyard hole (biggest negative for me but not a deal breaker) - plus it's 5160 steel with Buck's heat ...
I get it..... LH camp axe - Bushcraft USA Forums
2019年8月29日 · Honestly, I want one. I may sell a part of my 87 axe collection to buy one. I own a couple Gransfors Bruks axes because I like them. Not that there aren't axes that will do the same job, but because the GB axes are more than the sum of the components. No. The LH camp axe at 2.25# on 24" will not out chop a $40 CT boys axe properly profiled.
