Our department works closely with our surrounding community and provides emergency and non emergency services to the National Weather Service and Arizona Department of Veterans Service on Camp Navajo.

Camp Navajo is an industrial park, munitions storage facility, and regional training site overseen by the Arizona Army National Guard, and managed by the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs.

Camp Navajo is an expansive United States Army training facility and ammunition storage depot located near Belmont and Flagstaff Arizona. Primarily used by the Arizona Army National Guard, the facility spans over 44 square miles, making the largest military installation in the state.

Camp Navajo offers premier, high altitude and diverse training capabilities with modernized facilities. The installation offers training areas to meet any organizational need, spanning across the Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM) environment.

The Arizona Army National Guard (ARNG) Camp Navajo installation (Camp Navajo) is located in the northwestern portion of the State, approximately 10 miles west of the city of Flagstaff, south of Interstate 40 at Exit 185 in Bellemont, Arizona.

2015年9月17日 · The Navajo Ordnance Depot became the only prisoner-of-war camp in northern Arizona. Although POWs at other camps often worked on nearby farms, the Austrians were confined to the depot.

Camp Navajo is home of several threatened and endangered species, including the bald eagle, northern goshawk, ferruginous hawk, osprey, peregrine falcon, the Mexican spotted owl and the Arizona toad. Other inhabitants include the pronghorn and elk.
