2018年10月16日 · Recently, the expression of CD200 has been shown to be a potentially useful marker in the diagnosis of B-CLPD, particularly CLL 15 - 19. The aim of the present study was to validate CD200 as a useful marker in the diagnosis of CLL and to analyze if the addition of CD200 can add discriminant power to the MS.

OX-2 membrane glycoprotein, also named CD200 (Cluster of Differentiation 200) [5] is a human protein encoded by the CD200 gene. [6] In humans, the CD200 gene is located on chromosome 3 in proximity to genes encoding the other B7 proteins CD80 / CD86 .

CD200 proved to be a useful marker for differentiation between CLL and MCL by flow cytometry. In particular, CD200 was useful in distinguishing CLL samples with atypical immunophenotypes from MCL.

We show that CD200 is uniformly expressed in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and absent in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL). Importantly, expression of CD200 is retained even in those CLLs with immunophenotypic aberrancies, making CD200 a particularly useful marker for discrimination between these cases and MCL.

We have confirmed previous reports that CD200 is consistently expressed in all typical CLL. Furthermore, CD200 was expressed by all immunophenotypically atypical CLL cases.

CD200 expression showed a high sensitivity (100%) and a low specificity (35.9%), and the accuracy was similar to that of Matutes score markers (range: 79.2%-86.7%); except SmIg that was 59.1%.
