Char-Em ISD provides valuable assistance to our local school districts that in turn support students and families. While many of the ISD’s programs serve students directly on a day-to-day business, others work “behind the scenes” to support learning.
Special Education | Char Em - ISD
Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District provides programs and related services to over 1,300 students with disabilities. Special education staff provide services in various locations throughout the Char-Em ISD.

Districts We Serve | Char Em
Char-Em ISD serves local school districts within Charlevoix, Emmet and northern Antrim counties. The districts within our service area cover approximately 1,000 square miles and collectively operate 11 local public schools, three public school academies and five private schools, serving approximately 8,000 students.
