I'm Chindian, my dad's Chinese and my mum's Indian. You'll find more Inchis (dad Indian, mum Chinese) in Malaysia though. I don't really know much about my Indian side, which is a shame, I'm more in tune with my Chinese roots.

And also useful for communicating with the older Chinese relatives who can barely speak English, while the Indian side of the family mostly communicates in English anyway.

2019年12月29日 · Chindian here. Indian side of family has always been cool about the mixed race thing. We weren’t the only byproduct of mixed marriage in the clan. Chinese side not so chill. Some subtle racism and prejudice while growing up. But only in older generation, cousins were cool. Bulan puasa always kantoi for sure when growing up.
