Χρυσάορος), "he who has a golden sword" (from χρυσός "golden" and ἄορ "sword"]) was the brother of the winged horse Pegasus, often depicted as a young man, the son of Poseidon and Medusa, born when Perseus decapitated the Gorgon Medusa.
