HT12E RF Encoder IC for wireless communication
HT12E is an encoder IC for RF and IR modules mostly. It is a 12-bit decoder that uses 8-bits for address and 4 for data. RF and IR modules can interface with microcontrollers directly which requires a little bit complex programming.
The 212 series of encoders begin a 4-word transmission cycle upon receipt of a transmission enable (TE for the HT12E or D8~D11 for the HT12A, active low). This cycle will repeat itself as long as the transmission enable (TE or D8~D11) is
