They replaced diesel-powered trains on this route, which reduced carbon emissions by 77% and are quieter for those who live and work near the railway.

The Class 360 is part of the Desiro family of electric multiple units though unlike their Desiro cousins such as the Class 450 they do not have end unit gangways (though some test units were built with these, later removed [1]).

The Class 360 will do 0-60 in just under 45 seconds, making it the fastest accelerating train in the National Express East Anglia fleet. First Great Eastern ordered 21 4-car units to replace their elderly Class 312 slam-door units. They entered service in 2003, and by mid-2004 had completely replaced the old trains.

2022年10月4日 · The Global Centre of Rail Excellence (GCRE) have announced the acquisition of a fleet of three Class 360/2 EMUs from Rail Operations Group. The Class 360/2s were previously used to operate the Heathrow Connect stopping services on the route between Heathrow Airport and London Paddington.

The class 350, 360 and 380 multiple units were primarily developed for use under 25 kV AC from the overhead line. The first trains in this series were 21 class 360/1 four-car trains, delivered to First Great Eastern in 2003 and handed over to Greater Anglia in 2012.
