Thoughts the Giant Contend AR 2 2024? : r/cycling - Reddit
They also have an aluminum model with 105 components that is probably still cheaper than the Contend, depending on your region. They also have sales fairly often where you can save a few hundred dollars off the list price with free shipping, so if you decide to go with a Canyon, definitely keep an eye on their site for a few weeks and see when ...
Contend vs TCR : r/bicycling - Reddit
Nov 3, 2021 · I have a Contend SL2. The difference to a TCR of the same year, in the same size, was the TCR has a longer top tube, more reach, a lower stack height, and slightly shorter chainstays. All that is generally going to result in a position on the bike that will be more stretched out and lower at the handlebar.
Giant Contend vs Defy - Has anyone ridden both? : r/bicycling
The Contend name has just taken over as the non-carbon Defy(but for some reason they kept the Defy Advanced name). I own a Defy and tried a Contend at a shop and couldn't tell the difference. If the frame changes improve things, it is on a very small scale.
Giant Contend AR 3 or Revolt 2? : r/gravelcycling - Reddit
Feb 20, 2022 · I bought the Contend AR 3 this fall, and have ridden it like crazy. I've since upgraded the stock tires to Specialized Pathfinder Pros, which are more of a gravel tire, and I've taken it on some singletrack/MTB trails around my area, which it handled pretty well! Feels plenty fast, and honestly if you're worried about capability, don't be.
Giant Contend AR1 tires? : r/bikewrench - Reddit
Sep 18, 2021 · Contend AR 1. I like to ride 40mm tires. I'm not sure if Ar 1 fits them. Can you show some pics? Thanks!
CAAD vs. Contend (Entry Level Bike Opinions) : r/cycling - Reddit
Apr 25, 2023 · Unless I'm reading the numbers wrong, the Contend may actualy be racier than the Optimo in the same size if you set the bars at the same height (relative to BB) and reach, because Contend will have a shorter wheelbase and put the rider's center of gravity further foward over the front wheel due to the longer stem (to compensate for reach ...
Opinions on Giant Contend AR vs Revolt : r/whichbike - Reddit
Mar 11, 2020 · Both bikes are on a converging trend where road bikes are becoming more versatile (Contend AR) and off-road bikes are becoming faster (Revolt). Ultimately it comes down to the emphasis of your rides: the Contend is biased more towards road and the Revolt has more of a bias towards off-road, but both bikes are a tire change away from doing the ...
How is Giant Contend AR 4 as an entry level bike? : r/cycling - Reddit
Apr 8, 2023 · The Giant Contend AR line is the pretty much in line with your goals. The Claris drivetrain is entry level, but is very reliable and well-designed. If you pay more by going to the higher end versions of the Contend line, what you get are shinier parts, more cogs in the back, and a slightly lighter bike...stuff that will be nice but won't make a ...
Domane AL 4 vs Giant Contend AR 1 : r/cycling - Reddit
May 20, 2021 · Giant Contend AR 1 if i still go the “race” route, Emonda ALR is my top choice. Now, I know to some degree the bike to get is the bike that’s available, and right now I can go to a store tomorrow and get the Giant. But I have had my eye searching for a Domane for some time so I am a little hesitant but stock has been scarce everywhere.
difference between Giant Contend SL1 disc (2021) and Contend
Nov 9, 2020 · As for the practicality aspects -- I ride a Contend AR 2 and I've manage to fully explore these within my first year (+one month) with the bike. The stock tires were already great for all-road exploring, but I recently mounted a second wheelset with gravel tires and it feels like I own a gravel bike now (well, almost). My tires now measure 39 ...
