Copan is a town in Washington County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 733 at the 2010 census, a decline of 7.9 percent from the figure of 796 recorded in 2000. [4] The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway built a station at this site in 1899, which it named Copan, after the city of Copán, Honduras.

2010年1月15日 · Copan's students were reportedly the first in Oklahoma to be transported to school in horse-drawn wagons. A modern schoolhouse was built in 1908, and a brick secondary school was constructed in 1915. Copan was devastated by fire in 1906, 1911, and 1912.
