At each campus of College of the Sequoias, there are food choices. On the Visalia campus, there is The Grind at the Coffee House, the COS Cafe in Alta Peek, the Food Court at the North end of the Giant Forest Building, and just off the Student Services Patio on the West Side of the South Sequoias Building.

The Giant Marketplace fosters a caring campus culture, addressing structural poverty through evidence-based efforts to reduce food and housing insecurity and support as many students as possible.

Aside from the usual school necessities, the Tulare Bookstore offers a wide selection of grab and go items including ready-made sandwiches, salads, fruit, yogurts, and other healthy options. Also available are chips, candy, bottled water, sodas and juices within a convenience store setting.

This course provides accurate, up-to-date information for all levels of employees in all aspects of food handling. It includes laws and regulations for food safety within the rapidly growing restaurant and food service industry. Students may elect to take the National Food Safety certificate exam at the end of the course.
