BNSF Railway purchased 25 ES44AC locomotives in 2023, and they are all classified as ES44ACH. They were built between August and September of 2023 and were built concurrently with the ET44ACH. The numbers were 3282-3306, which officially ended the production of the ES44C4 in 2020. These units are Tier 4 credit units.

The GE (General Electric) ES44AC is a type of six-axle, 12-cylinder, 4,400hp diesel locomotive built by GE Transportation Systems from 2004 to present (though first introduced in early 2002). A typical UP ES44AC or C45ACCTE.

CN 2984-2999 and 3800-3805 are Tier IV Credit ES44ACs for delivery commencing in September 2017. More Tier IV units, 3836-3875, were delivered late 2018 / early 2019 and 3876-3895 were received between May and July 2019. The latest batch, 3896-3912, is currently on order (late 2019). 3286-3295 are under delivery (January 2023).
