The Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind (CSDB) is a K-12 residential school, located on Knob Hill, one mile (1.6 km) east of downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado, near the famous laboratory of Nikola Tesla.

CSDB Outreach Programs provide advocacy, resources, training, and opportunities to empower children, families, students and school districts across the state of Colorado. We are passionate about partnering with families and students, birth to age 21, on their unique individual journey.

Housed on the campus of the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB), the Colorado Instructional Materials Center (CIMC) provides braille and large print textbooks and novels, and instructional products to Colorado public or homeschooled students with visual impairment, including blindness or deaf-blindness.

The Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB), a state-funded school within the Colorado Department of Education, was founded, in 1874. The school was established for the purpose of providing comprehensive educational services for children, birth to age 21, who are blind/visually impaired and/or deaf/hard of hearing.

Through lending their extensive special library materials, CSDB works with local and state public schools to give academic support to students who have some visual or hearing losses, but attend public schools.
