The DBAG Class 145 and DBAG Class 146 are Bo′Bo′ mainline electric locomotives built by Adtranz primarily for the Deutsche Bahn at the end of the 1990s. The Class 145 is the freight version for DB Cargo; the Class 146 is the passenger version for DB Regio.

Im Bereich der Stromrichter ist trotz Stromlosschaltung mit hohen Restspannungen (Kondensatoren) zu rechnen. Die Fahrzeugbatterien sind beidseitig an der Lok unter dem Langträger in zwei Batteriekästen untergebracht. Je nach Baureihe sind zwei Varianten möglich:

Die Baureihe 145 ist die erste Lok mit Energiezähler, um mit dem jeweiligen Netzbetreiber die Energiekosten abrechnen zu können. Sie berücksichtigt auch die beim Bremsen in das Netz gespeiste Energie. Aus der Baureihe 145 wurde die Zweisystemlok 185 abgeleitet und damit die heute erfolgreiche TRAXX-Familie von Bombardier geboren.

2025年3月5日 · Und sie fahren doch noch: Nach Abstellung aller Loks der Baureihe 145 von DB Cargo Mitte dieses Jahres sind weiterhin zwei Maschinen aktiv. DB Cargo 145 062-6 und 036-0 am Zugschluss sind am 03.09.2024 mit einem Test-Güterzug im Auftrag von DB Systemtechnik bei Thüngersheim zur Abstellung in Gemünden/Main unterwegs.
