Digital Compact Cassette (DCC) is a magnetic tape sound recording format introduced by Philips and Matsushita Electric in late 1992 and marketed as the successor to the standard analog Compact Cassette.

2003年5月17日 · The DCC CDs are basically remasters, similar in intent to any other "remastered" CDs (which is to improve the sound). The DCC CDs, besides being gold, have been remastered (by Steve) with an "audiophile" perspective, which usually means staying as true as possible to the tonality of the master tape.

The label is DCC Compact Classics. Founded in 1986 by former ABC/Dunhill Records executive Marshall Blonstein as Dunhill Compact Classics to reissue recordings on audiophile 24k gold-plated CD and vinyl LPs.

Second - SACD better sounding with better resolution than the Ultra HD CD. Third - Single side Japanese SACD . Even better than the regular SACD with even clearer presentation. Fourth - 45 rpm vinyl .

2002年7月8日 · I see that some web sites selling DCC CD's have both silver and gold disks, many with the Steve Hoffman mastering notation. Is there a difference between these disks or are both mastered from the master tapes source with the same care levels?
