2024年1月21日 · The problem with laptop memory is the very high memory timings. Most 3200mhz ddr4 ram runs at cl 22 timings, yuck!! If your laptop had XMP, which very few laptops have, there are a set of ram sticks that runs at 3000mhz cl 16. I dont know if 3200mhz cl16 is available. I had a set of that ram with a MSI laptop with XMP, got it down to cl 15.

2021年4月6日 · The problem is when you try to game, all of your GPU dumps all its heat directly onto your RAM. B-die is a temp sensitive IC and freaks the fk out when it gets over 50-55C. You're running an extremely high density configuration, and 1.5V is a lot of volts for 4x16GB with no spacing in between the sticks.

2020年10月22日 · I have similar problem, Asus motherboard with X570 and QVL G.Skill RAM (DDR4-3600MHz CL16-16-16-36 1.35V). I moved back to BIOS with AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.0.0.2 (BIOS from 2020/06). Last BIOS where only BIOS DOCP and 1,35V was sufficient to boot every time. Three newer BIOS skipped already, the same problem.

2024年6月13日 · By the way, I wouldn't equate RAM performance just based on latency. Yes, that's very important, but bandwidth also matters. We've seen Alder Lake gain performance, even in gaming but more so outside it, with DDR5 over DDR4, and I imagine Zen 4 saw part of its performance increase over Zen 3 for the same reason.
