2016年2月13日 · For the intended pro/live sound, the Behringer DEQ2496 does the job as it likely has lower distortion than any pro amp you use. For audiophile use though, it only manages to get 15 to 16 bits of clean dynamic range relative to distortion. That does the job but I hope we strive for better. Overall I am neutral on Behringer DEQ2496.

2017年8月18日 · DEQ2496 is a very complex device with many features and functions. It can work in digital domain entirely, or convert between digital and analog for both, inputs and outputs. First up is digital performance. This is measured using optical input and output, so the signal never leaves digital domain.

2020年8月25日 · Subjectively, and I think this is the most important for the audience here, the DEQ2496 seems pretty darn transparent. Although it boggles the mind that digital sources and transports can actually have a sound, the DEQ2496 seems to transmit the sound of the digital source or transport through without imparting any of it's own.

2017年11月5日 · With the DEQ2496 though you can make all sorts of settings with the GEQ and PEQ which can then be stored in a memory and recalled for use. The Behringer only has balanced XLR inputs and outputs. It is also a very complicated bit of kit. I would have thought there would be better solutions, such as some sort of tone control or simple EQ device.

2023年1月14日 · I use the DEQ2496 analogue in digital out, and the DCX2496 digital in, analogue out. Simon modified both of mine many years ago, with what look like some prototype boards I think he was testing out. The measurements he provided, which I checked for myself, made a very significant improvement to the numbers, not that I could hear the improvement!

Since digital room correction is an important part of the audio chain, it could be nice to figure out some measurements about Behringer's digital performance.
