Nov 6, 2018 · Currently DFU only has an "all or nothing" toggle for the HUD elements, primarily for screenshots. This mod attempts to provide more control to this, by simply allowing you to individually toggle the visibility of the various HUD items, such as the vitals bar (health, fatigue, mana), the crosshair, the compass, popup text, etc.

Classic Daggerfall has two styles of HUD, a minimal fullscreen HUD and a larger non-fullscreen HUD. By default, Daggerfall Unity implements the fullscreen HUD, but this still matches classic. It's not something unique to DFU and could also be toggled in classic via the pause menu.

Classic UI from original Daggerfall does it exist?
Daggerfall Unity use the fullscreen HUD by default. This also matches classic and is a popular setting as it maximises screen area for play. The large non-fullscreen HUD is a feature of the upcoming 0.10.28 release. The implementation is very flexible through settings to either use the HUD exactly like classic or to scale it down to a smaller size.
