2001年2月1日 · All employees of the Department of Human Services (DHS) are covered by the Wage and Hour provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) unless specifically exempted. The provisions of FLSA include guidance for establishing work periods, payment of minimum wages, hours of work, overtime compensation and required record keeping.

NOTE: In order to qualify for this exemption, fire protection and law enforcement non-exempt employees must not spend more than 20% of their work hours in any work period in unrelated activities.
