2019年4月14日 · I’m deep into gig logs these days. I’m digging DJ Barr, DJ Jay Book, DJ Lixxer and DJ Rick Web. DJ Barr especially is next level killing it, imo.

Finally had an "official" gig last saturday at a house / techno focused event. Did a 30min set there and while it started off rocky as there was only 3 decks and I didn't realize that in the dark (only had touched a 4-deck CDJ's briefly during a panel event, otherwise my DDJ is my only experience) and pulled the wrong fader in the start, having to start from silence.

An NYC Sports Bar on Thanksgiving Eve- and person contacting me is asking how many people I can bring in. I have 2 concerns: How do I bring people in without being an established DJ? I can bring in 10-15 people through friends/college but he said usually 30+.

I paid something like £180 upfront and £140 on arrival at venue.

Now, let’s address the elephant in the DJ booth—the gig was a glorious train wreck. But hey, silver lining alert: I pocketed the full payment and a hefty $20 tip.
