The main differences are propellent used and the gun they’re fired from. 120mm dm53 is the original fired from the L44. Dm63 is the designation when fired from the L55. A1 version is with the Insensitive scdb propellent.

But if you do test drive or in a real match, it does not pen russian UFP at all. It makes driver hatch weakspot little bigger that's about it. Edit: those who downvoted me. It will pen or not pen on the same areas, and will have to avoid their late ERA plates with both. With that being said, DM53 has an anti-ERA tip in real life to specifically defeat soviet designs but of course it's not modelled ingame 🙃
