2020年10月30日 · DM53 out of L55 has a muzzle velocity of 1700m/s, im guessing this would increase the penetration by 5-15%, even 5 percent will bring the round to over 650mm so at minimum, DM53 will pen 650mm and at maximum 750mm.

2024年2月2日 · L28A1 is a pointless round. It replaces the DU sabot with Tungsten. Penetration values don’t differ enough to make it worth while. IIRC L27A1 has better penetration, but L28 has a faster velocity with less pen. I may be mistaken though. Nope its DM63 that dosnt produce an explosion when hit.

2022年7月21日 · You will have to shoot at the exact same soviet weakspots with DM53 from L/44 and L/55. It will pen or not pen on the same areas, and will have to avoid their late ERA plates with both. With that being said, DM53 has an anti-ERA tip in real life to specifically defeat soviet designs but of course it's not modelled ingame 🙃

2024年2月2日 · If I remember correctly from the documents I have, dm53/53a1/63/63a1/73 all use the same penetrator. The main differences are propellent used and the gun they’re fired from. 120mm dm53 is the original fired from the L44. Dm63 is the designation when fired from the L55. A1 version is with the Insensitive scdb propellent.

2024年5月26日 · If my understanding of physics is still correct, than the higher mass and velocity of the CL round should result in more kinetic energy and with it a higher armor pen compared to DM53. I know they nerfed the CL rounds due to "historical accuracy" (which I still find doubtful) but it doesn´t make sense from a logical standpoint.

2024年6月22日 · 3BM60 has accurate pen currently. The only way it gets more pen is if you prove its rod is longer and/or has higher velocity out of the barrel.

2022年2月24日 · DM53 can penetrate and destroy 2 tank side by side, both russian with ERA, surely it should not have any problem penetrating the side of b3, ~200mm thickness vs KE at the first 3 plate, the rest ~100mm according to penetration simulation, under 100m with that angle even after that ricochet
